Dirk Stevenson will lead us in a lecture on the many frogs that call the coastal Georgia home. Dirk has had an active career as a Wildlife Biologist since 1990. Currently he is the owner of a conservation-driven herpetology consulting firm based in Hinesville. He has previously worked with the Orianne Society on the conservation of imperiled amphibians and reptiles. He was also the staff herpetologist for the endangered species program at Ft. Stewart. He will bring his wealth of knowledge to this event.
Cost: $20 (Members), $30 (Non-members)
Event Update: Out of an abundance of caution we are canceling this event. Due to continued spread of the corona virus, mitigation and containment strategies appear to be extremely important. The higher risk people are those over 60 who have underlying or chronic health issues – diabetes, lung disease, heart disease, et al. and the strategy of avoiding close contact with people (6 foot distance) will not be possible at the Brunch and Learn where seating is close. The Ashantilly Board and the Board of Coastalwildscapes think it would be the safest call to reschedule this event as soon as feasible.
Please check out the CDC guidelines here. Stay safe and healthy!
