Georgia Plant Conservation Alliance

The Georgia Plant Conservation Alliance is desperate for more volunteer help in southeast Georgia – around Statesboro and a bit south of Statesboro. Please follow the link to their web-site and read about how to become a Botanical Guardian for some of the most sensitive and diverse plant communities in the state – pitcher plant bogs. These bogs contain pitcher plants, sundews, orchids, and other wildflower species. Pitcher plant bogs are also home to large numbers of insect, amphibian, reptile, and bird species.
